Levelo
Outdoor bench (2012)
The shape was inspired by natural leaf of plants. The connections and the separation of the sitting surface comes from the leaf details.
The Levelo has two guide lines beside of the form.I tried to use environmentally conscious materials, so after the shape was outlined, i looked for materials and found a company which creates plastic plates from recycled PETs. (www.recyclen.hu) So Levelo has the 15mm plastic materials for the surface.
The other important detail is the leg manufacturing process. I wanted to create 3D shapes from sheet metal. With bending a boomerang form, the legs are stable and resist the forces comes from each three directions. The frem is from stainless teel and it has the matte finish from submerged into acid.
